Rupert is project based multidisciplinary educational, residential and exposition centre. Lithuanian architect Andrius Ambrasas designed the new Rupert building which was opened in July 2013. There are exhibition and projection spaces in the building. Constant lectures are held in Rupert, and often Lithuanian and foreign artists, curators and cultural arts managers reside here. The architectural design ideas were mainly inspired by the resort-like environment and art creation mysteries. Wood finish makes the building camouflage itself in the nearby pine forest. Visitors are inspired to look into the world of arts through a keyhole as there is only one way for the light to enter the building on the main exterior side of the structure. In search for harmony with nature and architecture, luminaires should not be visible with plain eye. Gaudre manufactured ceiling recessed, surface mounting and pendant luminaires Vindo, featuring distinct geometrical forms, were used for the project.

Vilnius University scientific communication and information center not only impresses us by its contemporary look, but also features modern technical and construction decisions. It is an open and easily transformed space for studying, scientific research, work and communication, which merges with nature and fosters modern learning process.

Interior spaces were designed to serve people rather than books. That is why it was decided to make the most out of lighting. Windows on the brighter half of building are small with strict linear strokes to prevent sunlight from damaging books. From dusk to working places (enlightened by natural sunlight), such architectural decision also establishes different spaces to meet individual people needs. Two completely glass covered sides of the building face a relaxing forest.

UAB,,Gaudrė“ lighting specialists designed and manufactured lighting system „Vindo“ to realize Rolandas Palekas decisions.

Nida Art Colony

In 2008 Algimantas Kančas studio won the reconstruction project. There are five residences for artists in the restored building including a dormitory, two multifunction areas for artistic and education events, a terrace on the roof and a digital video lab. Public areas feature a loft-style ceiling, thus natural light emitting reflectors MIRO and prismatic light disolvers were installed there. Same type luminaires were selected, this time with milky frost glass light dissolver, and mounted on walls as BRA type. Lighting solutions were implemented using our own manufactured GAUDRĖ Vindo series luminaires.
